BSECS is glad to be able to support scholars to attend this conference. Twelve bursaries of £100 each will be available for graduate students whose papers have been accepted and who are registered for a higher degree at a higher education institution within the European Union.

In addition, accommodation costs and the conference fee will be waived for up to six established scholars whose papers have been accepted and who are from countries whose institutions may not normally have the resources to support staff attendance at conferences in Western Europe.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 19 November 2010.

Bursary application

This application form is for postgraduate students enrolled on a programme of PhD or equivalent study at a higher education establishment within the European Union whose papers have been accepted for presentation at the BSECS Conference. Successful applicants will receive a bursary of £100 which will be presented to them in person at the conference.

Fee waiver application

This application form is for established scholars whose papers have been accepted for presentation at the BSECS Conference, but who are from countries whose institutions may not normally have the resources to support staff attendance at conferences in Western Europe. Successful applicants will have their registration, meals, and accommodation costs met by the Society. Please note: we cannot accept applications from scholars based in Western Europe, the United States of America, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. If you are based in one of the European Union Accession Countries (Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia) you are eligible to apply for a fee waiver at the 2011 conference.
