Many fortunes and reputations were made and lost at the card tables at the late 17th- and 18th-century royal court. The King’s Drawing Room at Kensington would host tables of players including courtiers and members of the royal family. In this practical workshop, costumed interpreters from Past Pleasures will tutor you in groups to learn some of the games played and their history. You will then be given gambling chips to pit your wits against others to see who reigns victorious.
