Call for articles: “Passions and emotions in eighteenth-century literature in England”. Back

The journal English Literature, published at the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari, invites scholars and young scholars to send article proposals on the topic: “Passions and emotions in eighteenth-century literature in England”.

We’ll be happy to consider contributions on all aspects of the relationship between passions/emotions/feelings and their literary (and also philosophical, scientific, religious etc.) representation in the English literature of the long eighteenth century, for their publication in the December 2017 issue of the journal.

The issue will also include contributions read at the conference on Passions, Emotions and Cognition in Eighteenth-century English Literature, Venice December 2016:

You will receive an email of confirmation from the journal editors, with the login and password to access the journal site where you will be able to upload the article for its peer reviewing. The deadline for sending in your proposal is July 10th, 2017; the deadline for uploading the article is September 15th, 2017.

All proposed articles will go through double-blind revision by two peers. Contribuotrs will be able to see their reviews on the personal website by October 30th, 2017.
