Fully funded PhD studentship: Codebreaking the diary of a Georgian gentleman: The private papers of Andrew Hudleston Back

Applications are invited for an AHRC-funded PhD in History at the University of Keele: ‘Codebreaking the diary of a Georgian gentleman: The private papers of Andrew Hudleston’. This is offered under the AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award programme. The partner institutions are the University of Keele and the Cumbria Archive Service.

The student will be supervised by Dr Nicholas Seager and Professor Alannah Tomkins. The studentship is for 3 years full time, starting in October 2019. Funding support is provided as follows:- 100% UK tuition fees for 3 years commencing 2019/20. Stipend support for three years at Research Council rates (2018/9 stipend £14,777 per annum).
