Mozart in Italy Festival Back

This three-day Festival is the first ever in-depth exploration of the formative year that Mozart spent in Italy 250 years ago.

Featuring our period-instrument orchestra, The Mozartists, and a stunning line-up of world-class soloists, as well as illustrated talks by leading historians and musicologists, the festival will include UK premières of excerpts from operas by Guglielmi, Piccinni, Mysliveček, Celoniati and Gasparini – many not performed since the 18th century – and offer insights into Mozart’s first major opera, Mitridate, re di Ponto.

The full programme across the weekend of concerts, talks and illustrated lectures can be found here.
