Publishing History journal is looking for a Reviews Editor and Deputy Editor Back

Publishing History is a scholarly journal devoted to the socio-economic and literary history of book, newspaper, and magazine publishing. This specialist bi-annual publication covers the whole spectrum of the production, distribution, and consumption of book and print culture from the author via book trade practitioners to the reader. It is edited by Dr Rachel Stenner of the University of Sussex ,  who is seeking to appoint into two unpaid roles: Reviews Editor and Deputy Editor.

If you would like to help shape and develop this forum for promoting new scholarship, please email rachel.stenner@sussex.ac.uk by the end of March 2024 with 500 words stating which role interests you and detailing what you would bring to it. You need to hold a PhD, be research-active in the field of book, printing, or publishing history, and have editorial experience.

Applications will be reviewed by the current editorial board.

Scholars of all levels are invited to apply, and applications from people belonging to groups currently under-represented in academic publishing and academia more widely are especially welcome.
