Women, Money and Markets Conference 1700-1900 Back

The conference on Women, Money and Markets (1700-1900) will be held at the University of Amsterdam, June 7 and 8 2018. It is part two of the conference run at King’s College London in May 2017.

Confirmed keynote speakers: Danielle van den Heuvel (University of Amsterdam), author of Women and Entrepreneurship: Female Traders in the Northern Netherlands c. 1580-1815, and Elizabeth Kowaleski Wallace (Boston College), author of Consuming Subjects: Women, Shopping, and Business in the 18th Century and Eve Rosenhaft(University of Liverpool), co-author of Slavery Hinterland. Transatlantic Slavery and Continental Europe, 1680-1850.
